Last weekend, we had a great time at the SARRC Victoria Park Run. It was an exciting event, with all the runners very excited to get started and achieve their goals for the day! The weather was kind to us, with a few clouds in the morning but then sunshine in the middle of the event – we even saw a beautiful rainbow as the runners pushed through the event.
Our PPHY team ran one of the water tents, handing out fruit and water to the runners and talking about the benefits of hot yoga for running training! Hot yoga helps to increase flexibility, strengthen the legs and core and repair muscles – all essential parts of training for a successful, injury-free run!
We would like to thank our volunteer team for helping out on the day – they did such a good job, especially because it was a little bit cold setting up for the outdoor activity.
Thanks to our volunteers, we had a very successful day! Well done to all the runners who participated – we hope to see you on the mat this week for some well-earnt recovery!
