Creates a sense of determination
Common mistakes:
Not embracing through the core
Not keeping the back straight and upright

Instructions:
Staring in Mountain Pose, bring the gaze forward so that the biceps are by the ears
Interlace the fingers, releasing the index fingers into a ‘pistol grip.’ OPTION: Bring the right hand down to the hip and keep the left hand extended upwards
With the feet together, take an inhale and stretch the fingers upwards. Plant firmly through the feet, push the hips just slightly forward and lift through the chest. OPTION: bring the feet hip-width apart
On the next exhale, bring the torso down to the right with control by pushing the left hip to the left and compressing through the right oblique muscles. Keep the entire body facing forwards and stretch the hands out to the right, arms straight. Breathe normally.
Hold for 5 slow breaths, using each exhale to move further into the pose.
To release, engage through the core and on an inhale move the upper body up with control, still stretching the hands upwards.
On an exhale, release the arms down to the sides.
Half moon is a great way to improve flexibility in the spine and through the waist, which can make other poses easier with time!
Have fun, little crescent moons!
