Avo & Turmeric Bruschetta



You may have noticed that we LOOOOVE our turmeric (see our previous blogs and recipes for iced turmeric and chamomile tea and turmeric latte) and for good reason! The yellow spice hosts a huge range of benefits including anti-inflammatory properties, antioxidants and cancer-fighting elements. It is also an easy way to jazz up any meal, to give it a kick or a more ethnic flavour. This is exactly what we have done with our Avo and Turmeric bruschetta! Already full of nutritious ingredients, the added turmeric makes this a super healthy, super easy and super quick meal idea!



2 slices of rye or sourdough loaf

½ avocado

½ teaspoon turmeric

sprinkle of pumpkin or sunflower seeds

salt and pepper to taste

Olive oil




Mash the avocado in a bowl with the turmeric

Toast the bread slices

Spoon the avocado and turmeric mixture onto the bread and sprinkle with seeds and salt and pepper. Drizzle with a little bit of olive oil to serve!

TIP: To add a protein punch that will help your muscles rebuild and your appetite down for longer, add a can of tuna to the mixture!
